My name's Shameque. Most of my clients and families call me Meme. I am a PCA/HHA/Medtech/Companion/CNA. I have been in the healthcare industry for about 10 years now. I love it! The joy I receive from caring for and helping to improve the livelihood of others is unmatched. I am experienced in all ADLs including cleaning, running errands, attending appointments and/or outings, providing transportation, companionship, preparing light meals, feeding and/or assistance with feeding, helping in daily exercises, medication administration, PT/OT task assistance, and more. I am skilled in all transfer techniques (hoyer/board/sit to stand/wheelchair/etc), manual bowel programs, quadriplegic care, stroke patient care, memory care, and care of developmental and intellectually challenged individuals. First and foremost, I am the mother of a one year old daughter. I love cooking, doing hair, and playing trivia games. I've been helping elderly people since I was 12. My grandmother inspired me, as I would go with her to a few houses around the neighborhood and help out the older people in our community. I then ended up taking care of my grandmother. The thing I enjoy the most is them knowing someone cares. I enjoy listening to them and assisting whenever I can. I've learned so much working with different people. What I'm most proud of is I learned how to be better day by day. Communication skills are way better because I learned how to actually listen.

I think I'm a great caregiver because I give it my all. I've always loved helping others and helping the elderly makes my heart smile. Knowing that that I can help someone else with even a conversation makes me happy. We all have good days and bad days at every job but I can definitely say my good days out weigh the bad. Going back to school was a big goal for me and here I am at the finish line about to graduate.

Well I've beening do this type of work since I was 15 do to my aunt being in a wheel chair before I even new what it was called so u guess that's why I love what I do it comes so naturally cause I love that I can make a difference and put a smile on someones. Face I love my field of work.
