My name is Jane I'm 54 years old. Recently retired from UPS in Naples Fl. I've been married for over 26 years had 2 children. I took care of my first born when he was diagnosed with Cancer until he passed away when he was 5. My daughter is 18 and attended Appalachian State. My husband works at Avery tire , retired as well after 30 years at his own shop. We are full time here in Avery County for about 5 years now. I've found my home here. As we have been coming here since 1997. Our son was diagnosed at Sloop Memorial in Crossnore which is now a Children's home. I love to garden and some wood working. I am a huge animal lover.

I am 47 years old. I am a mother of 6, with the youngest being 20. I am also a "Mimi" to 5 and have two rescue kitties and a big-personalitied pug named Lola. I lost both my parents young and in losing them I feel a deeper appreciation for generations older than mine and the historic and generational knowledge they hold. Everyone should be treated with dignity and respect, no matter what age, and watching my father not receive the care he deserved as a disabled veteran further fuels that desire. I've cared for students age birth thru 21 with special needs for 20 years and am looking for new adventures!

I have extensive experience with adults and adolescents with mental illness/developmental disabilities. Experience with adults with Alzheimer's and dementia for over 5 years as well. I started out assisting in teaching western horse back riding lessons to children and adults for over 10 years, I worked my way to babysitting and private care to adults with IDD. And then began working with agencies that provided services to adults and children with mental health and IDD diagnosis. My passion is working with people, especially those diagnosed with physical or mental disabilities.

I have been in the medical field for almost 14 years. Healthcare is my passion. My grandmother was diagnosed with ovarian cancer when I was 8 years old. Everyday that I was with her, I done my best to take care of her and get her anything that she needed. She told me that I was her little nurse, and that stuck in my mind. I knew from that moment on that I wanted to be in healthcare. I enjoy taking care of people, getting to know them and doing my best to provide the care that is needed. A personal achievement that makes me most proud would be doing the heimlich maneuver on a choking Vietnam vet successfully. A couple years later his diabetes and edema got worse and he was not expected to make it much longer. I stayed with the family and done my best to make him and his family comfortable during this time and gave them as much support that I could.

I am a caring and dedicated person who enjoys helping people. I have worked as a CNA and as a PCA. I have 3.5 years experience in this field. I enjoy speaking and bonding relationships with the elderly. I have mostly worked alzheimers and dementia patients.

I am 20 years old. I graduated from Gate City High School in 2014. I attended Scott County Technical School and took a course to become a CNA. I passed the class but never got my certification for CNA. I am CPR certified. I have a passion for taking care of people! I love being outdoors, crafting, and cooking.

I try to be empathetic to my clients needs and help them maintain their dignity while helping with tasks needed. I've seen Betty's needs and would like to help her maintain independence. Helping to provide care and do tasks she cannot do alone . Maintaining a daily exercise program for years.

I have both professional and personal experience in caregiving. I have experience with alzheimers and dementia. I've worked with clients with Parkinsons and other healthcare issues as well. I was called to this job after caring for family members and within my current graduate degree program have received a lot of information about the benefits of caregivers. I love helping people and working as a caregiver gives me the opportunity to help and be a companion for those who need it. I have a bachelor's in psychology and I am currently pursuing a masters in Social Work.

I have cared for my aunt. I also still take care of my father. I recently care for someone outside of my family. I have found that I really enjoy caring for people. I love their company and have found that caring for others is very rewarding. I love to listen.

I love being a caregiver. I take pride in my ability to connect with and love people in general. I feel that this isnt a job , for me its more of a calling. I look forward to getting to know you and your family. Thank you
