I have been a caregiver over 20 years (long term, rehab, old timers unit patients, and etc). I care about the elderly and people that need help and cannot help themselves. Having parents that died in their 60's from cancer it was nice having the experience to be able to take care of them from their homes. Have done homecare over 5 years and really enjoyed working with the family's.

Something I would say that would make me a great caregiver would be I most definitely love helping people and I'm a very easy person to talk to and I love to listen something that attracts me I'm being a caregiver is I most definitely like to help people and when they're smiling it's making my day something I enjoy about being a caregiver is it's very rewarding and you learn a lot of wisdom and a personal achievement I would be proud of would be succeeding in life and living the best life I can

I have been a caregiver my entire life, I started out as a CNA at age 17 I did that as well as home health care for several years then I went to college and acquired my associates degree in Medical Assisting. Then I worked at an opthalmology practice for 3 years then a Cardiology center for 2 and most recently I've been employed as a direct care staff taking care of clients in their home. I've been a caregiver for about 14 years now. It started when my grandpa had cancer and I wanted to make sure he got the best care till the end. I just started school at UMA in 2020.
