Hi, I am a registered Care Provider with the state ID# 7507076149. I have been a care visitor since 2003. I care-visited a lady for 7 yrs, first as a volunteer, then paid before she went into assisted living. During this time, I held a job and attended college modules studying Gerontology. I have always been involved with caregiving. When my father passed, I decided that I would do what really matters to me which is caregiving. I'm now care-visiting full time. I enjoy knowing that I am truly making a difference everyday in someone's life as well as giving respite to families. I am responsible, punctual, take initiative, am patient, a good listener and I communicate well. I feel it's important that a person remain as independent as long as possible. I am a friendly, outgoing person who has a big heart for seniors and enjoys helping them to live life to its fullest. What's most important to me are relationships and living a life of love for God and for one another. I especially enjoy my conversations with seniors-I love their stories. I like to help them get out in nature, enjoy a mind challenging game or cook their favorite meal. Growing up, I was best friends with someone who has Autism. I was the only person she wanted to see when she was having a bad day. Her love for me sparked my interest in the Caregiving field. I am still in contact with her and her family to this day. I have worked in a day program for adults with IDD for a little over 2 years. This past year I worked in a residential facility for adults with IDD. Both opportunities were extremely rewarding and allowed me to gain more experience in this field. I am still new to the home caregiving world but I am eager to become more experienced! I am a very dedicated and caring individual. I can't wait to start lending a helping hand!
