I have been a caregiver since 2009. I have a great passion for taking care of others and have spent most of my working career doing so. I have extensive experience in almost every area providing care for this population. I have worked with a variety of Alzheimer's and dementia clients as well as Parkinson's, MS, Diabetes, severe respiratory issues, Huntington's disease , cancer and those on hospice all which include many different special needs. I have a degree in Psychology from CSUS that I earned in 1983. If there's something new I'm not familiar with, I'm more than willing to learn. I love to cook and most likely can make almost anything up on request. I'm always willing to do house cleaning and laundry. I take pride in my work and always go above and beyond what is expected of me. I enjoy conversing with those I provide care for, they always have such interesting memories and history. My mission is to always treat my clients with the compassion, respect and dignity they deserve. I also work at the San Juan Unified School District with Autistic preschool children which requires much energy, patience and understanding. I am also fully vaccinated. Growing up, I was best friends with someone who has Autism. I was the only person she wanted to see when she was having a bad day. Her love for me sparked my interest in the Caregiving field. I am still in contact with her and her family to this day. I have worked in a day program for adults with IDD for a little over 2 years. This past year I worked in a residential facility for adults with IDD. Both opportunities were extremely rewarding and allowed me to gain more experience in this field. I am still new to the home caregiving world but I am eager to become more experienced! I am a very dedicated and caring individual. I can't wait to start lending a helping hand!

Hello my name is Christine I have been a care giver my whole life ..I started out by taking care of a little girl with spinabifada for 3 years she was a neighbor. I watched Francesca from a new born till 3 in a half...She had lots of surgeries shunt put in and replaced ...she had to use a cathiter couldn't really walk did lots of physical therapy with her...I loved taking care of her ..I follow her on Facebook still..she is 35 now...Then I took care of my mother , brothers and little sister my mom has had lots of medical problems..I use to take care of a little girl name Mary and her sister but Mary had Ceribal Palsy she required alot of care watch her 40 hours aweek well her mom was in nursing school...Then I took care of a man in his 70s who was legally blind...I cooked and cleaned for him took him shopping read his mail for him ..I raised 4 children 3 boys and my beautiful daughter I adopted from Russia...I took care of my grandma who lived with me for 8 years...She had a stroke and dragged her foot alittle she passed away 5 years ago...I started working at All for u home care because I love and need to take care of people.. Taking care of someone gives me purpose and makes me happy ...

My expertise lies in assisting geriatric clients with activities to enrich your daily life. What attracted me to become a caregiver is that I would like to make a difference in people's lives. The thing I enjoy most about being a caregiver is providing companionship and assisting people with shopping and light housekeeping. A personal achievement that I am proud of is becoming an LVN as a single parent. I have worked the last 3 years as an activities assistant.
