Hello. My name is Dahny. My husband and I are parents to three boys; age 8, 10, and 12. They are great kids. Helping others have always been second nature to me. Before I had my boys, I was a foster mom to a new born baby boy. I picked him up from the hospital when he was 3 days old. I took care of him for about three months before he was adopted by a family who had adopted his brother. It was difficult letting him go but I knew he would be okay growing up with a biological brother. Shortly after my darling foster child left, I found my husband and we started our family almost right away. I spent 10 years taking care of my family. With my boys in school full time, I went back to helping others as a caregiver and I love it. I take care of everyone under my watch like my own family. I treat everyone with respect, understanding, and with kindness. I am grateful and proud that I have only had positive feedback from past clients.

I have been a CNA since 1995 and worked in nursing homes for 6 years. I worked for Banner Hospital for 13 years in the med-surg /oncology unit. I have been working for kindly care for 2 years and previously worked for synergy for 1 year. I enjoy working one on one with clients in their home. I cared for seniors between the ages of 68 and 84 in large groups of 3-6 seniors. I also have experience with cancer recovery, when I worked as a private homecare assistant for a year. I have great references, live in West Seattle and currently doing the last year of my early childhood development degree part time and online. I take pride in what I do and would love to work with a family. I'm a very nurturing and bubbly person, very responsible and I enjoy reading, writing, dancing, singing, watching movies and driving. I am 57 years old and also certified. I am very dependable. Also very flexible, I am not married and don't have kids. I am also willing to go out of town if it is a good fit for me. I became a caregiver because I took care of my old mother that needed help and couldn't care for herself people came in my house and did not give my mother the cares that she needed and I felt so sorry for her so I had to leave one of my job to help her. 2. I feel "Care" is the most lightly taken word. "To care" doesn't just mean to supervise someone physically, it goes beyond that and it takes a very emotional yet strong person to take care of someone else who doesn't just need a shoulder but also a little smile, and loads of fun. That's how I took care of a couple of people, my family and non-family (who eventually became a part of my life). I care about people the way I would expect others to care for me and that makes me a better caregiver. I never took it as a profession until I came to the US and accidentally did a couple of assignments, which made me realize that I am good at it.
