My name is Daisy, I am 30years old. I currently work for the Palmdale school district as a para-educator in a moderate special needs class 6-7th grade but I have down time during vacation times and on weekends. I have 4 years experience as a caregiver. I worked for a company called 24hr Homecare. I dealt with various clients from hourly to live-ins with condition varying from Parkinson's disease to dementia to simply recovering from surgery. I am a very patient, happy, respectful person. Fast learner and have knowledge with Hoyer lifts, colostomy bags, catheters, Accu checks, G- tubes, dressing changes, etc.. I am primarily abailable on the weekends but I'm willing to take on jobs if they are shorter time frames during the week. I look forward to assisting you feel free to reach out.

What makes me a good caregiver is i like to sit down and listen to the individual and the family to find out their concerns and fears and how they want things to be. I respect all rights and will not over step my boundary. I'm a good listener and companion. I became a care giver after taking care of my grandma while she battled with cancer. It was a hard and emotional time but after she passed. I learned that we became closer and during that hard time we also had many good times. So in the end results i became a care giver to become a companion and to help others when help is needed.

I was with the State 2 years before my last agency of 6 years. I am excited to work with families and help them deal with the difficult tasks of caring for their loved ones. As a little girl, my mom always took me to work with her. She's a caregiver. As I became an adult, I love helping elderly people. I love to help, cook, clean, and sit and talk to them. Working with and helping elderly people makes me feel good. I feel it's my job to help people who can't do for themselves.

I have always loved taking care of people at all stages in life. My niece was premature 3lb 2oz I was with her the day that little girl came into this world. Fighting for everything she had. She is autistic and she is such an amazing person her drive to become somthing extraordinary in her own little way. She suffers from type 1 diabetic and life has handed her a tough card but she never is unhappy about anything. I try to love my life like her. Every day just giving even if it's just a little to bring a smile and make someone laugh can do amazing things. Iv have sat at bed side of the ill holding a hang of a greaving husband. I have also held a hand of someone who was scared to pass away alone. I was with her till the end. I try to love, smile and even cry with all because we are all human and we should never be alone. If I can just bring that one day of happy then Iv done my job!

What do you like about being a great Caregiver? I am a very compassionate person when taking care of the Seniors, listening to them while we have our conversations, having a good laugh once in awhile, seeing them happy and listen to their history in life. That is history I or anyone would not know of because it's not in our history books in their hearts of history and their life. Being a great caregiver is to listen, laugh have a good understanding about them and their families. Why did you become a Caregiver? I became a Caregiver because I love helping others out who can't do for themselves and I love being able to help with actives that they want to do. Listening to them talk about their families and the ones they can't spend time because they live far and their families are unable to visit. I would be there to cheer them up and help them enjoy their days. What do you like about being a Caregiver? What I like about being a caregiver is enjoying a good conversation with the Senior's. Listen to their history in life. Things I would've never known. Helping out with laundry or being able to cook together, do a jigsaw puzzle or watch tv with them. Seeing the Senior's happy and content and they are always happy. What personal achievement you are proud of? Is being able to help getting families together and knowing that your are always love no matter who you are.
