After that I noticed I enjoyed caring for the elderly and spending time with them. I love listening to their stories and learning from their experiences. I see them and treat them as my family. I believe what makes me a great caregiver is that I take care of all my patients as if they were my own family and make sure they are comfortable and most importantly I listen to their needs. I first became interested in health care when my mother was ill and needed care herself and realized that I had a real passion for helping others. At Long Beach Memorial I was know as the "sitter whisper" because whenever they had a difficult patient they would alway assign me that patient and by the end of the day the patient would no longer require restraints or was completely compliant and friendly. Besides experience and knowledge I acquired from nursing school, helping others has always been my passion. I find joy and fulfillment knowing I make a difference in someone else's life.
