I'm a great caregiver because I love taking care of people. The reason I became a caregiver was because of my grandmother and my stepmom. As a young girl I had to help my stepmom she had diabetes. She didn't take very good care of herself and had to have her legs amputated. So of course I helped her with her baths, get dressed even though we had nurse to come to our home. Then there was my grandma she had cancer of bladder so I assisted her with doctor appointment and few chores around the house. What I'm most proud of and achievement is being a great parent, terrific and loving grandmother, and a very dedicated , and loyal wife. My family is very important to me. I am a experienced caregiver with a tremendous amount of heart and faith in always doing the right thing. I am dependable and honest to a fault. I started in the medical field at the age of 16, because Iknew that that was what i wanted to do. I continued on when I went to the air force working with my fellow soldiers, when I came back home I have worked in Drs office , and ultimately working for elderly and Hospice. It is very fulfilling to know that I can make a difference and put a smile on someones face just by being there. Helping people is my PASSION

I became a caregiver around 1979, always felt needed wanting to help the elderly people of all kinds. I enjoy being around people when it comes to helping the sick. I will be their for them if needed. You have to be patient understanding caring know their needs and provide lots of TLC. I took care of a elderly for 14 years, she was in a wheel chair when I met her. also a heavy drinker. Within that 14years of my caring for her I was able to help her family and the client to make a decision for the client to under go knee surgery. She was able to walk for 6 years which was joyful time for her. Few more years after that she was able to give up drinking with a little of my help. I was very happy to see this achievement. The family was proud to see this accomplishment and thank me for my assistance. This made me feel so happy and wonderful that I was able to be their for them. I am a understanding and caring person when I can help someone that needs my services I will be their. I also enjoy traveling being around my grandchildren, love my church, I love to keep up with my landscape, enjoy exercising, and focus on my health.
