I worked as a medical assistant for 8 years and home health aid for 15 years. Left doctors office and hospital setting to do home health to be more personable and do one on one care. What i like the most about caregiving is the ability to treat those as I would want myself to be treated in time of need. I find that with compassion, good listening skills and trying to understand and empathize with my clients not only does my client feel loved but learn that they can work towards a goal, increase their independance or have one that will help meet my clients needs . I find it extremely rewarding personally and always find new friends and family along this path.
