I enjoy helping people and once my grandmother and parents needed assistance with aging my career shifted from teaching to caregiving. Being patient,loving, caring, compassionate, and highly experienced make me a good caregiver. This is what I have been doing before I came to this country. Out of 6 siblings, I was the only one taking care of my Mom with the assistance of my daughter who is now a medical doctor and now in the university pursuing her masters degree in public health here in the U.S. I feel so much comfortable taking of people either young or old. It is my joy to contribute positively to general care of elderly people. I personally relate very well with my client and their families, that most of them treat me like members of their families. I still have contact with most of the families I have worked for. They sometimes take me out for my birthdays celebrations , some calls on my birthdays, some sends messages on my birthdays. I think this a great achievement, because if I did not do good jobs for them, they will not remember me to give me such wonderful honors.

I became interested in care giving because my Mom was in an automobile accident which left her paralyzed & my sister-in-law was in an automobile accident which left her with a brain injury. I was my mom's caregiver from age 17 until I was married at age 22. While living in Greenwood, IN, I worked for Companion Care as a cargiver. My Mom moved in with us in 2010, I took care of her until she passed in 2016. I enjoy helping people to be able to live at home without having to live in a nursing home. I prefer not to bath & dress, I helped my mom with bathing & dressing, however it was something I did because it needed to be done, I was never comfortable with this part of her care. If I get to know the person and they need help every once in awhile, I will do anything to help them. I was with 2 of my clients in Greenwood, IN until they passed away, I prefer the one on one attention I can give when working with an individual in their home.

Finding the right person to tend to your loved ones can be a bit challenging & difficult at times trust me I understand & get it. As a Caregiver I take that title very seriously which means being able to give and provide the best care possible. The word speaks for its self, being able to care for people, give the help, care, assistance & guidance to those in need. Little background: Fresh out of high school my background career wise was in healthcare/medical. Growing up I would always have a soft spot and always tried to be a help in hand to not just those in need or look like they where in need but especially to all my elders or those older then me. I was always taught to respect my elders and if I see some one needing help then be there and help assist even if some choose not to except that help....a help in hand to people is the best feeling ever knowing your capable to help them. Ive always had the heart, the compassion, the care and love for people in general which to me is a great feeling and something I love and feel good about at the end of the day. I look at it as being able to count my blessings one day if u no what I mean) Believe it or not, I truly look at it as if and thinking that one day I'm going to have to get older as well and may need that same help though and hopefully I would have or get the same kindness from others as well. Being that my background was in the medical field and working at several doctors offices having to work with patients day to day actually guided me into becoming a caregiver because ive always had the love, the compassion, just having the willing to help someone just because, and sometimes just having the patience with them because being able to have patience is EVERYTHING
