I am a very loyal, caring, and compassionate person. It gives me great joy to be able to help someone in there time of need. I started my caregiving journey in 2001. I went to CNA school and became a CNA at that time. I worked in a nursing home for 2 years then went to work at a hospital for 5 years. After that I started my journey being a one on one caregiver. And I have helped people in there home for the past 10 years. I enjoy what I am able to do for the patients and there families.

I'm a caregiver of 4 years paid, but a lot more not. Caregiving is my calling in life. It's what I love to do. I love being able help the elderly and special needs. I have experience in home health, home healthcare, nursing home experience, hospice experience as well as end of life experience as of recently. I love being a caregiver to not just help those kinds of people out, but rather be there for them in many ways. I never allow my clients to feel like their alone whenever I'm on the shift. Because it's something that I refused to allow my poor daddy to have to go through. To me it's just cruel. I'd say my greatest achievement thus far is being able to say with pride and honor that I was able to be there for my father in that regard. So much so, that he basically trusted me with his life. Meaning I was the one to be able to give him his final ride/journey on this earth. It's something that I don't boast about a lot but I do have clients that remind me so much of him, that in return for the taking a chance on me, I give them the gifts of companionship, empathy, a shoulder to cry on should it be needed, a strong pillar to lay all their fears and worries away, and never having to worry/wonder if their alone. I always reassure them that I'm always here.
