My name's Shameque. Most of my clients and families call me Meme. I am a PCA/HHA/Medtech/Companion/CNA. I have been in the healthcare industry for about 10 years now. I love it! The joy I receive from caring for and helping to improve the livelihood of others is unmatched. I am experienced in all ADLs including cleaning, running errands, attending appointments and/or outings, providing transportation, companionship, preparing light meals, feeding and/or assistance with feeding, helping in daily exercises, medication administration, PT/OT task assistance, and more. In high school I studied Allied Health Science and later became a Nursing Assistant. I loved it. Every day was a new challenge and completing each challenge was its own reward. Although I would have to say that. I thought it was awesome that a gentleman stopped me in the grocery store to tell me thank you for saving his life. He said continuing to do CPR until help arrived although everyone else walked away saved his life. All I could do was think about how bad felt knowing that guy died

Working as a caregiver has been apart of me since 2014. I get the job done, do a great job at what I do and don't mind getting the job done. I became a caregiver because I took care of my great grandmother until she passes at the age of 94 years old. Right then I knew that this was my field. I took in my grandmother in which she is 75 years old and still living with me to help better my career. I like the fact that not only your love ones but those people depend on you as well as I make them happy. A personal achievement that I am proud of is finishing Registered Medical Assisting school now in school for RN as well as investing in a home care agency.
