Hello, I consider myself a warm, compassionate person with a gift of patience. I empathize with many because I know what it feels like to need someone one to lend a hand and how difficult it may be to ask for that help when needed. At age 15, I cared for my dying mother and father, and decided to dedicate my life to be of service to others who could no longer care for themselves. I can honestly say that care giving brings out the best in me. When I see a need, whether it be physical, mental or spiritual one, I am challenged to work with the families to help fulfill that need. Everyone deserves that kind of experience in life and I believe everyone needs somebody. I am very proud to be a caregiver for the last 35 years and the families I have met have enriched my life and have helped me grow as a person. I love being surrounded by older people, they are so full of wisdom and history. That is what drew me to being a care giver. I love helping them and being able to help and care for them as they once cared for me when I was younger. They deserve the best care and that is one thing I am proud of, giving them the best of me. Hello all, A little about me... My name is Britina (Brit). I attended University of Phoenix online and obtained my Associates Degree in Healthcare Administration while working full time at IBM and raising my three daughters. After 10 years at IBM I went on to work with developmental and intellectually disabled adults for a few years and from there I went on to Home Health Care where I was also assigned hospice cases. I've had very personal experiences while helping care for my father after he was diagnosed with colorectal cancer. If you would like to know more please feel free to reach out to me.
