Thats where my passion really began, as a youg girl I would go with my mom to work in the nursing homes and i knew from there that thats what i wanted to pursue in life. I received my BA from Virginia Commonwealth University and I am currently working on my masters at Mary Baldwin University. I work a full-time at home job and am looking to pick up a few hours working as a CNA. I enjoy working as a CNA because I love getting to know people and their stories, assisting those who may have no one else to depend on, and providing genuine support. I am laid back and easy going. My clients like me because I allow them to do whatever they're able to do. I only help them to keep them safe. I feel my client find their autonomy one of the most important things they have left. I love this work. I feel like I'm an important part of these people's lives. The one thing I hate is when I have to leave them for one reason or another.

I have been a cna since 1998 . I love taking care of people and making them smile. I've worked in hospitals, long term care facilities and in home care.

I love making a different in the lives of others.after taking care of my grand mother i developed the ability to care for people in need.When I came to the state in 1985 this was the job I acquired and I have being doing it ever since.I had worked in the nursing home setting,,hospital, and private homes. I have a positive impact on my client I smile a lot I'm open to communicate with my client, listened to there concern encouraged them making decisions if the can and to involve them in there care plan.i give ADL care, good hygiene,,cooked, do laundry, serve there meal but if client needs assistance with feeding I will do it. I do client shopping, take client out for recreation, make drs' appointment and take them to there appointment, medications remainder,or administered medications, reports any concerns to family member who is POA.It rewarding when you see your client condition is improving.Care giver job is rewording when you bond with your client and the built trust in you.

I believe I am a great caregiver because I genuinely enjoy helping people, it is very rewarding for me. I became a CNA in 1996, while working at a large nursing home/retirement center, in the hospitality field, because I really enjoyed working with the elderly making their lives a little brighter. I continued to work there for seven years, I also worked in assisted living for ten years, then private duty care which I also enjoy. I am a mature, caring, compassionate person, who will care for your loved one with respect and dignity. My greatest personal achievement was graduating from Kaplan University while working full-time.

I'm very outgoing ,compassionate, caring, dependable, love to see my residents,Clients, smile and be comfortable to be themselves. I enjoy helping others who can't do for themselves or need just need some assistance. I always had a heart for the elderly so I felt caregiving would be a great career path. I worked as a CNA in a nursing home, Intellectual Disabilities residents in grouphomes, and Home Care. I have alot of versatility. I am CPR,First Aide Certified, Medication Administration Certified, One of my personal achievements would be taking the the cna class so I can work the elderly.

I was born and raised in Sierra Leone west African. I am compassionate, honest and love what I do. I like helping people, and have a big heart. What attract me to be a caregiver was that, my father was so sick , proper care was not given to him I watched him died because there was nothing I could do then. Since then I took it upon myself to help the senior citizens.
