I started by taking Family leave from my job as a Bookkeeper, to care for my Father. I thought at that point 5 years ago, hey I would like to do this for a living. Two years later my Father passed away and I lost my job and began caring for my Mother. At that point I decided to go to school and become certified. Received my CNA in 2013. Have been working since then and love what I'm doing. I am caring, dependable, fun, positive and energetic. I am a team player and can also take the lead. I love to cook, bake and juice. Those are huge accomplishments for me because at the end of the day, I go to sleep smiling knowing that - I just made someone's day. It made me feel driven to do more the next day and repeat. I had worked at Assisted Living and Memory Care Community for more than 7 yrs & as a Personal Care Assistant and Medication Technician. I had been an independent Caregiver for more than 10 years & counting. I am my own boss :) and I have several individuals that I care for. I assisted individuals on their daily living routine i.e. Dressing, grooming, bathing, escorting, preparing their meals, assisting on their medication management.
