Hi! I have been in healthcare for over 6 years, I have trained in hospitals, health and wellness clinics, and outpatient care. I have formal and educational experience. I am a CNA/CMA/HHA/CPT currently in school to obtain my Rn to further my education and experience for my clients to have the best care they can get. I love being a caregiver, because helping people especially elderly is a very rewarding job, someone need to help elderly and that's me, should help them .. Not everyone likes to be s caregiver but for me it's a very rewarding job. I feel good if I can make an elderly patient smile again and especially if they can get back in walking again . I was very proud of myself when a dementia patient of mine was back to her normal situation ( not exactly normal) but giving the medications on time and feeding or reminding her or him that it's time to eat will help a lot in getting better. Time management for the daily activities of the patient will help a lot in getting better for the patient well being . I considered myself as one of the best caregiver at my job now, and will continue to give my good care to the elderly until I retire .

I have been working for Partners In Care in Grass Valley, working both in home health and at the assisted living facility Eskaton since the beginning of this year. I have worked as a babysitter and nanny, caring for children for several years. I am currently in my final year of a Physical Therapist Assistant program and will be beginning my internships this month. I have the skills necessary to transfer, ambulate with, and bathe seniors in a safe manner. I am very compassionate and wiling to do the extra work to assure safety and to provide a comfortable and positive environment for those I am working with. I am CPR certified. I used to have my Wilderness EMT certification and was a ski patroller. I feel that I can handle emergency situations well. I am passionate about doing the best I can to make the lives of those around me a little bit better. I became a caregiver because of a unique opprotunity to take the nursing assistant course for free with the chance to be hired on by the company afterwards. I've always liked interacting with people and been good at sales but sales wasn't what I liked doing. The idea of selling something I don't want never appiesed me, however I found that my sales experience came in handy being a cna because then I could get the residents to agree to the care they needed. That felt rewarding for me because something positive came from it rather then another piece of product in someones home. I'm very proud of the fact that I was able to step into this field with no prior experience and do well. Well enough even to turn the facilities second state inspection around to a passing grade. I enjoy working as much as I do being at home with my family and am always willing to put in extra time when asked.

I believe that I will make an excellent caregiver beacuse I love to help people who are in need of help specially if they can't do everything for themselves. I am graduate student of Medical Assistance and I know i am fully prepared to do as I was taught by my instructors.

When I was 16 yrs old I started working in the hospital always wanted to a nurse but lived in a rural area where there was no place to study, so later in life I started to work in nursing homes and assisted living centers, eventually branching out on my own. It's just somthing I'm passionate about and will continue to do till I need a caregiver. Im honest reliable and compassionate and belive in keeping loved ones at home on there own surroundings. My last client was 101. I was with her for 10 yrs. For her 100th birthday I made her birthday wish come true we even made the local paper. She wanted a ride in and ambulance with 2 goodlooking EMT's around town since she had been bed bound for 7 yrs. I got the locals to come out where we stopped the sang to her brought her flowers, it was amazing. She was a beautiful person.
