My experience comes from assisting my mother care for my father when he was diagnosed with multiple types of cancer. My next endeavor came years later when I became my mother's sole caregiver. She suffered from dementia. After her passing, I decided to make caregiving my new career. In my first position in my new career I was a Live In 24/7 Caregiver for a lovely lady with dementia, I was with her for 2 1/2 years until her passing.
