I love being a caregiver because I enjoy helping people. I've been in healthcare since I was 16 years old, starting off as a dietary aide and then furthering my career in a long term care facility where I got my CRMA license. I'm a very outgoing and talkative person, I think that is what makes me a good caregiver. Not to mention i'm always reliable, i'm always somewhere when i'm supposed to be.

I'm willing to travel pretty far as long as it's gonna be worth it to do so, having a longer day with more hours makes my willingness to commute the distance so I'm open to travel. I also don't mind short shifts as long as I don't have to travel too far and have multiple short shifts is worth it to me I just need to make sure I can take care of my family my faith and my little girl. I'm open minded and want more clients to actually start getting hours.

I have been caring for the aged and those with dementia for over 25 years. In my past, I had a residential care home and an Adult Day Center and they were the best 15 years of my life! Caregiving allows one to be part of something bigger than yourself. Giving of yourself, whether it is a helping hand, assisting someone to do something they can no longer do by themselves, and providing care at a level of compassion and patience that one would expect if the shoe was on the other foot. To me, it's about what you leave behind - touch someone's life for the better.
