I graduated from the University of Colorado with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1986. Prior to school nursing I worked in both Newborn and Pediatric Intensive Care. In 1994 I became one of four School Nurse Consultants in Douglas County School District until the birth of my third child. After spending several years at home full time, and adding one more child to our family, I returned to DCSD as a School Nurse in 2008 when our youngest entered first grade. In 2010 I earned my Master's Degree in Health Services and Wellness Promotion. I love hiking, skiing, wellness, and most of all spending time with my husband and kids.

I have been working in the medical field since I was 18 years of age. My great grandmother who passed from dementia is how I became a health care giver. My passion is to help comfort, love and support those who are in need.

I enjoy working with people and most enjoy jobs where you have one-on-one interaction with others. I enjoyed taking care of elder family members and would like to help others in this way. I also enjoyed the long talks with my elders & the awesome relationship we build. I'm proud that I got a job that i like & have passion for !
