I love the field I feel great at the end of the day when I do and care for someone. I dicided ended that this is what I wanted to do. Making people happy and comfortable. I also saved a patient at a facility where I worked and convince the direct her to get a nurse. Because I have worked extensively with Alzheimer's I have bought many books that will help them. Some of my other accomplishments were transforming a students life, responsible for 32nd commercial on Fox 25, a sister young mother with her fight for addiction and became successful, volunteer reading to young children at a school library.

I have an extensive amount of experience ranging from cancers to dementias to end of life and so much more. I would be happy to share. The expectations and standards I set for myself are: 1) Dignity and respect 2) When I walk into someone's home, I'm walking into their world. I dont expect them to walk into mine. Its about them and their needs. 3) Everyone is an individual. Same diagnosis does not mean the same kind of care. My care is based on the individual and their wants and needs. 4) Patience and being a great listener. How else will I know what is needed and wanted. I have provided care for many people. I have always enjoyed working with people and have missed that since retiring from nursing a few years ago. I love getting to know people, finding out their interests and hearing their life stories. I am an upbeat and friendly person and find great joy in being of assistance to others in ways that improve their quality of life and happiness. I grew up in a big family and value those special relationships. I realize a lot of people don't have a big family to rely on and I'm here to help fill that need. I am an active treating clinician in my primary job as an outpatient physical therapist/supervisor, with additional experience working in the inpatient setting. My background provides me with bed mobility, transfers, and gait training, in addition to proficiency in exercise programs. I've worked with a wide variety of patients, including geriatrics, post-operative and those more medically complex. Ever since freshman year in high school, I have always wanted to do something that related to the medical field. First it was orthopedics and then pharmacy. I did not know that my mind would change to care giver until my junior year. I took a health science technology class starting my junior year. It was a two year class. Junior year was more focused on anatomy and physiology and Senior year we got to decide which path we wanted to go down. I chose the LNA path. I have always wanted to help people and going towards this path seemed like a sure-fire way to get there. I loved doing my clinicals at the two nursing homes near my school. It was an amazing experience. Knowing that I can help someone get through their day a little easier meant the world to me. Almost six years after graduating high school, I am still doing what I love and taking care of the people that need it the most.
