Hello! My name is Jenna Taber I am 29 years old. I have a 6 year old son named Michael and he lives with me. I have been in the caregiving field for well over 12 years, but I became certified through All Metro Healthcare in Corning around 4 years ago. I have worked in nursing homes and clients homes as well. I have experience with dementia clients, TBI clients, Alzheimer's clients, bed ridden clients,and clients who use a hoyer or a lumex to transfer. I enjoy making a difference in someone's life even if it's just helping them with their daily needs. I wanted to be in the healthcare field due to seeing how much neglect my grandfather was put through. I also wanted to make a difference in someone's life as well. My goal is to become an RN or an LPN in the near future.

I really enjoy helping people, and improving their quality of life. I've been working in healthcare since 1999, and feel I bring a wealth of experience to the job. I have a wonderful sense of humor (which I feel is a necessity) and I love to hear a client's story. I have had Systemic Lupus for several years, so I would prefer not to due a lot of heavy lifting. I would assess on a case by case basis.

I am very compassionate and empathetic. I have taken care of others for many years including family members suffering from dementia as well as other cognitive and physical disorders. I enjoy helping others obtain happiness and contentment while being able to live in a home setting. The best part of being a care giver is the personal reward. My proudest personal achievement is being a mom and nana.

I believe im a great caregiver because I have a very big heart and also love helping others. Im a very friendly person and a hard worker. I have excellent communication skills and excellent time management, cleaning and organization skills. I started in the healthcare field in 2015 working through Pathways Inc. I wanted to become a caregiver because I enjoy making a difference in peoples lives and have a lot of knowledge in this field. Also I feel I am making a difference in the family/seniors lives by being able to provide consistency and compassion.

Let me start by writing about what I know. No matter how much excellent medical and/or psychological care and loving support a person may receive, the person who is facing challenges inevitably feels fragile and experiences a crisis of confidence. Total care only begins at the bedside. The whole environment becomes part of the treatment plan, with a goal of encouraging the person remain engaged in the day to day decisions and activities that govern his or her life. The next thing I know is that, regardless of how smart I think I am, that person with challenges has his or her own agenda and will put every effort into achieving those goals. This deserves great respect. This requires negotiation. This requires a sense of humor. This requires open minds. This is what I know. And since every situation is different, there is no cookie cutter big enough to consider all the possibilities for care and support. Every case depends on intelligent decisions, patience, and cooperation. All laced with healthy doses of kindness.

Hi, my name is Danielle Dickison and I am a certified nurses aide, certified home health aide, and licensed practical nurse. I am certified in basic life support, CPR and AED, and first aid. Positive attributes to my personality that allow me to be a great caregiver are that I have a very big heart and I'm very caring. I treat all of my clients and residents as family. I am also cery dedicated to my work with a great worth ethic. The reason I chose to become a caregiver is because I have a family history of nurses, caregivers, and CNAs, and because I have always been drawn to caring for those who are no longer able to care for themselves independently. I feel as though as people who need help with activities of daily living, they deserve to have caregivers who genuinely care and value their career and the health, safety, and emotional and physical well-being.
