I have been working in healthcare since I was in high school. I love caring for and assisting people. I fill my free time with volunteer work, coaching cheerleading and gymnastics, being the room parent at my daughter's school, and activities at the American Legion. I'm laid back and patient, which seems to fit well with home healthcare. Also, I just returned from volunteer work in Jamaica. It's definitely my calling to work with people!

I am going on my third year of college, and my third college as well. I am finishing up my surgical nursing degree at Marion Technical College with a Surgical Technician certification and a phlebotomy certification as well. I have spent time in caring for my grandmother while she was in and out of the hospital, and I will provide compassionate care to those who need. My job as a future nurse is to provide comfort and love to patients varying different health conditions. My ideal job profession in the future is to work in hospice as well. When I was younger, I had a heart disease and my life-long goal is to give back to nurses and patients with 110% passionate and sympathetic care.

I am so very passionate about the caring of others. It started years ago with the home care of my great grandmother in our own home for as long as we were able, to realizing and pursuing my dream in the nursing field, helping and talking care of loved ones from many many other families and friends over the last 12 years.

Being a caregiver has been very rewarding in knowing I am able to make others feel good in their daily lives with assistance of daily living. They feel secure which makes me feel good and proud to assist. I have alot of compassion and heart for anyone.

I'm a 34 year old nurse assistant. I've been in this career doing what I love for over 15+ years. Alzheimer's and dementia are my passion to work with. I've been working as a nursing assistant since 1982. Now with my family grown and on their own I've decided to go back to school for an RN degree. I haven't started school yet but am looking for a flexible schedule so I can go back. I've worked over the years in many local nursing homes and have enjoyed the residents and their families. I've been fortunate to work with many great aides and nurses who have had knowledge to give and shown how to multi task as necessary. I've worked on 2nd and 3rd shifts primarily and would like to work on 3rd shift. This is how I percieve my position: People come in all shapes, colors and sizes, they all are in need of loving care, a warm smile and someone to talk to, they need comfort, a clean invironment, family and a warm meal. These I would want for myself or my own family and they are necessary for peace of mind. I've seen all kinds of problems great and small but what I've noticed about most folks is that they just want to know someone cares about them. That's were nursing assistants come in to fill the gaps between doctors, nurses and family.
