I have experience with patients from all age ranges and have managed many different medical conditions in various healthcare settings. My most enjoyment and satisfaction of being a caregiver comes from being able to spend time with my patients not only to just administer a medication, or perform a treatment, but to truly get to know my patient as a whole person. I became a caregiver after the birth of my 4th child when I realized how much I really enjoyed taking care of people. It is such a great feeling to know I am helping someone who can not do it for themselves any longer and that may be me or a loved one someday. I started off as a certified nursing assistant but soon realized I wanted more knowledge and returned to college to get my license as an emergency medical technician. I soon found out that whether I am working in a facility, someones home or an ambulance these skills are of great importance. I am a christian mother of 4 children two of which are grown and two grandchildren. I have been happily married now for many years to a wonderful man.

I have a great love and respect of elderly. Their knowledge and experiences in and of life are priceless. I have dealt with elderly care all of my career and the challenges it encompasses. It's very hard for them to admit to needing care and harder for them to relinquish their independence. Having a close understanding of this challenge is vital to gaining trust so they will allow assistance from a caregiver. It is a privilege to be allowed into someone's life on such a personal side, not just in their home but to provide personal care. I pride myself on being trustworthy ,dependable , compassionate as well as finding the ability to persuade them into doing what is best for them I.E exercises, bathing, eating correctly. Having good character and integrity is top priority in this occupation. I have references and background check available upon request. On a more personal note, I am a wife, mother and grandmother who values family immensely.
