empathy and compassion. working with people in a home care setting is essential that a caregiver feels the desire to want to help. by showing both empathy and compassion. I as a caregiver will let the patient know that I care about the person and want to do what I can to help my patient. Patience is the key to being a great caregiver.

I believe in lifting one another up when trials and tribulations arrives, because you just will never know that you will be the on sent by our God to uplift your brother or sister up in that very present time ! I have been in the medical field for 15 years now, I knew when I was a little girl I would in some way help people out. I use to take up for the disable kids while in school and I use to help the elders with taking their grocery bags in the house , help them walk if they had diffculty walking and etc . I enjoy putting a smile on the patient's face and I enjoy listing to their stories when they were growing up if they are able to talk with me ! I am very proud to have accomplish medical school and working in a field that care for people !

I have an Associate Degree in Nursing from Ivy Technical College of IN. I have worked in an Assisted Living facility in IN as well as a nursing facility. I prefer caring for an individual that would love to live in their own home independently. I have experience with Alzheimer's, mobility impairment and strokes. 1. What actually makes me a great caregiver is my willingness to serve others and I believe it's my calling. 2. I became a caregiver because, I have great compassion for individuals in need of personal one on one care. 3. Their are several reasons why I like being a caregiver. The first reason is that I am able to be there for individuals that are in need of help. Another reason I enjoy being a caregiver is because, my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer and after the cancer she went into remission. Shortly afterwards, she was diagnosed with dementia. Recently she was diagnosed with Parkinson. I eventually had to move her into my home and I realized how self fulfilling and rewarding it is to serve others with sincere humility. I feel that as a caregiver each individuals that I care for should receive the best of care, compassion, and the best quality of care that life has to offer. 4. My most greatest achievement is yet to come because, I'm looking to achieve more tomorrow than I have today.
