I am a certified nursing assistant that loves my job. When I moved to Memphis in 2008, I was blessed to have an eighty nine year old patient on my wife's mail route that was put on hospice, I not only revived her as she say but I gave her that second wind by tending to all her needs while taking care of her in her neice home. I prepared her food with love, took her vitals, bathe her because she was an amputee that just needed a lot of attention. I cared for her from 9am- 9 pm seven days a week for four years and the only reason that I had to leave was because her neice lost her job and decided to put her in a nursing home because she could no longer afford the expense. It is times like these that makes me appreciate helping those who cannot help themselves.

I am a VERY caring, loving , trustworthy, empathetic, dependable, patient & compassionate person. I love to care for others no matter the age, religion, disability or color. To see that you can put a smile on someone's face and make their lives easier in any way warms my heart. Within the first 3 months of working at Regional One Health as a Patient Care Assistant I was honored with an Over And Beyond article written about how I made a patient guest feel while taking care of her father. Word got around about how I took great care of her father and her as well! However, I did not know that they were good friends with the President and CEO Dr. Coopwood of Regional One Heath! My personal traits: I'm very compassionate, I have a desire to work with people whom have physical and mental disabilities. I'm dependable, I place the needs of the clients first. I'm a good listener. Having family members with disabilities helped me to understand the desire for families needs for a good caregiver. I am thankful for being a caregiver for my family and friends.
