I am a joyful optimist. I am attentive, trustworthy and dependable. I appreciate the opportunity to provide patient, tender hearted care to vulnerable aging people. I have chosen to become a caregiver because I desire meaningful employment. I enjoy being a strong source of support and encouragement to individuals and families in need. I have more then 5 years of experience working as a CNA and a live in caregiver for home care agencies and have worked in nursing/retirement homes as well. Dependability, reliability, kindness, empathy, calm nature are few of my strongest traits in taking care of my loved ones. I grew up with my grandparents and naturally we take care of our own as it is a cultural thing. I love being around seniors and assist in whatever way I can as they remind me so much of my grandparents who lovingly took cared of us. Making them smile and making them feel comfortable makes me feel complete and happy.

What attracted me to be a caregiver is when my grandmother got very sick and I was the only one willing to help her for 2 years. I got really into it and enjoyed what I did. I realized I didn't want to just help my grandmother I wanted to help other people as well. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is the bond I make with each resident and knowing they're getting the proper care when I help them, and providing them with a happy and comfortable life. The personal achievements I'm most proud of is knowing my family and other families appreciates my help and kindness when leaving me with their beloved ones. Also, learning how to help each resident with their different health problems or diseases.

I am a retired Paramedic and am looking for part time work. I love to learn new things. I care about people and have empathy for others. I have been a caregiver most of my life. I raised three children. I am good at multi-tasking. I took care of several elderly relatives. I am a good listener and like talking to people. I am proud that I have overcome all the fears in my life and that I completed a career in Emergency Medical Services.

Over 25 years experience as a NA - Nurses Aid from Convalescent Homes to private care. I've been certified for to dispense medication taken multiple First Aid/CPR classes in those years.
