I became a caregiver when I had to step in and take care of a family member, who had a stroke. I like the fact that I was helping someone get rehabilitated while experiencing a miracle happen right before my eyes. I've been told that there should be hundreds more like myself, from just about every and anyone I have worked for and with. It's great feeling to have when you can go beyond others and your own expectations and receive certificates and rewards on how much people love you for what you do for their families. I became a CNA in 1998 and currently hold my certification. I'm also a Certified Pharmacy Technician and have been for 9 years and counting. I am a mother of 5 and wife.

What makes me a great caregiver: 20+ years of experience, knowing how to get creative when things seems complicated, having a passion for what I do. It would take me all day to tell you everything, so I'll leave you with that. I love helping those who can't do for themselves anymore. Me,enjoying most about being a caregiver, is seeing a smile on not only on my client face, but the FAMILY as well! One of my personal achievements is: being a single mom of 2 girls, raising both of them to be successful young ladles. The oldest finished high school at the age of 16, then moved on to be a dental assistant at the age of 17 and is now an LPN....moving forward, working on her RN degree. My youngest graduated top of her class, after being home school for 3 yrs. She finished at LSU in 3 yrs, has her Masters from Our lady of the Lake College and is now attending their Fellowship Program to become one of their top leaders in the company
