I have had the privilege of being a home care companion for the past 8 years. Helping and caring for others is a satisfying and enjoyable occupation for me. I am quiet, easy-going and attentive. I prefer companionship but can complete light housekeeping and other tasks of daily living. As a certified integrative health coach, my professional stance is that of holistic personal care that encompasses physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing of my patient-clients. I have hold a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from an accelerated program at Curry College. I am also enrolled in Laboure College slowly pursuing a nursing degree. I have experience with elders, mental health, and different varying disabilities. I have experience with hospice/end of life, working with different State agencies such as DDS, DMH, MassHealth, and Elder Affairs. I have been caring for my father the last almost 6 years. He's had multiple cancers, gait issues, COPD, falls/fainting, eating/feeding tube, and is now losing his sight just to list a few of many ailments. I am CPR/First Aid/AED certified and have used these skills in real life moments, as well as being MAP certified for many years now. I've spent my life helping others because I truly feel it's not only the right thing to do but also that it's a calling for me. It makes my heart happy!

I am compassionate, outgoing, respectful, & I tend to be my authentic self. I grew up being a caregiver. My grandmother was very sickly since I was young & needed to be taken care of around the clock. I enjoy helping people in need. What I mostly enjoy about being a caregiver is being there for one. A lot of people don't have someone there to comfort them and their needs. I'm proud of myself for never giving up even after all the disappointments and let downs.
