Hello, I'm Jennafer. I previously worked for a VA Medical Center as a nurses aid. I loved my job, unfortunately I moved and it was too far in distance. I am CPR certified, and have experience with most common elderly illnesses and diseases. I worked with a lot of patients suffering from either dementia, Alzheimer's, diabetes, urinary, respiratory, cardiopulmonary, restorative, and more. I absolutely enjoy making people happy and being part of people's lives, which is one reason I believe makes me great at care giving. I love to talk and companionship is a big plus for me in the healthcare field. I am very compassionate about the care I provide and I enjoy the friendships I get to make. I am always looking for ways and opportunities to better my skills and care. Just for a little extra info, I do speak some spanish, however not too fluent; I also play several musical instruments in which I got to share music with some of the residents I cared for. I am an excellent worker, friend, and companion and I hope to get the opportunity to show and express it to you and your loved one(s)!

I have had the amazing privledge of being a care giver for 30 yrs. Starting when I was 16. I feel gratitude for having found my life long passion at such a young age, and to have maintained a constant joy in my service to others. I am constantly learning, whether its meeting new clients or facing new challenges, reading and putting into practice new therapeutic modalities, As health care evolves so do I. I have been a caregiver since 1979 ,I take pride in my work to assure that the client looks and feels there best tending to all needs ( Chatting, bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting ambulating as needed. I worked at the same facility for 35 years as a C.N.A. and 3 years as there Nursing scheduler. I decided to step down from that position in December of 2014 after my husband was in a bad car accident. I am still employed as a per diem staff and fill in when needed as the scheduler. I am now looking for part time per diem hours as a home care provider.

I have over 30 years experience working in Nursing Homes, Assisted Living Facilities and in Private Home Care. I've listened to and have personally felt loved ones fears and concerns. I have also been blessed with wonderful friendships with elders and their families. In offering my services I will provide personal care and assist in all areas of daily living as well as sensitive and friendly companionship. I will also provide transportation to but not limited for errands, shopping, doctor visits, social outings and Church. I have funtioned like a loving relative in not just taking care of the physical needs but also mental and social needs.
