I am a caring, empathetic person who loves to help others. I started my caregiving journey at the age of 14. My brother unfortunately became a quadriplegic his sophomore in college. I then worked as a CNA for 3 years. Now I am a Direct Support Professional (DSP), which Is a person that provides care for people with developmental disabilities. What I love most about being a caregiver is knowing I've made a difference in someone's life.

I have five years experience as a Home Health Aide, and am currently in school to obtain my LPN. I have experience with hospice care, and volunteer at the Hart Comfort House whenever I can. I try not to take myself too seriously, and consider any shift where I can make my client laugh or smile to be a success.

My name is Tosha, and I have been an LPN for almost 10 years. As a nurse, some of my personality traits that help me excel in this role are empathy, patience, and attentiveness. I genuinely care about others and enjoy providing support to those in need. What attracted me to being a nurse was the opportunity to make a positive impact on someone's life. Being able to help others and provide them with comfort and care brings me a sense of fulfillment and purpose. One of the things I enjoy most about being a nurse is the meaningful connections I form with the individuals I care for. Building trust and being there for them during challenging times is incredibly rewarding. As for a personal achievement I'm proud of, I once helped a patient regain their independence after a serious injury. It took a lot of dedication and hard work, but seeing them regain their confidence and achieve their goals was truly gratifying.

I am a very patient person who loves to connect with new people. I take care of children during the week so I am used to doing certain tasks more than others. My step father is where my experience comes from, as he is a much older gentleman.

I always loved taking care of my grandpa Zeke. He had COPD and I had to put his medicine in his breathing machine and get him water when he needed it when I slept over. I choose to help my grandma because I loved helping any way I could. My grandma lives in an apartment building for the elderly and I always when I go help all the ladies out with cleaning or just being there to talk about the apartment gossip. I love caregiving because it gives me a sense of satisfaction of doing something good that I think is fun and very rewarding. I am a good listener, respectful, kind, caring, thoughtful of others, loving, and I absolutely love to help people. I graduated this past year in 2018 when I was supposed to graduate in 2019. I graduated a whole year early because I wanted to get into the work that I enjoy and love which is to help people and give them the care they need.

I am a mother of two beautiful children. I have been a cna for three years, and many more to come! I currently work with a traveling nursing agency. When I am working I get many complements, one includes how much compassion I have for my patients. I am a loving, outgoing, compassionate person. I love helping people. I became attracted to this field because I know I can make a difference. The thing I love most about my career is the feeling I have after I helped a person. A personal achievement I am really proud of is when I work in a facility and the doctors want me to go back to school and work for them, in a internship because they say I do an amazing job.
