I love helping the elderly I've been doing it since I was 16. That is my passion to help someone. I can say that every client or patient loved and liked me a lot. I do a good job go above and beyond. I treat the elderly like that was one of my grandparents.

I have 8 years of experience working with individuals with special needs and various levels of needs. I enjoy helping people and giving them a sense of accomplishment. I am proud that I was able to raise my special needs daughter alone and she is successful and holds a job in the community while living in a group home.

I'm a 52 year old male, with 5+yrs as an STNA. I've taken care of male, and female clients who all usually asked for me specifically. So i do respectfully apply for jobs that may prefer females. Only because i've VERY successfully cared for both M/F. This type of work is very specific, and requires dilligence 100% of the time. I enjoy this work for many reasons, but the biggest is to provide comfort, safety, and make my clients, your loved ones feel like they have my trust, and i'll earn theirs.That happens out of the utmost respect, kindness, patience, and highest level of care. Sometimes clients, residents just want to talk to you if you have positive energy, they detect that from caregivers. I'm not gonna write 1,000 words to describe how much i love this field of work. It's work that some can do, some can't, i'm outgoing, funny, happy and very approchable, and sociall. I have a 26yr old daughter, and a 19yr old son those are pretty much my friends, my life, my greatest blessing, achievements. Due to the fact they're really great people. I also take care of my mother who,s gonna be 80 in april, she has a benigne ping pong size brain tumor that has her 80% blind. My fathers 75 and has major arthritis but i kept them in their home, it's a sacrafice that i do happily. My kids do come to care for my parents when i'm working. Elderly care is hard to achieve when it is your own family. Having an outsider come in to assist the family and patient gives peace of mind while building a relationship with the aide. I am proud and honored to be a part of this field.

I have spent my life serving others as a preacher/missionary wife for 30 years. It is my spiritual gift. I am caring and gentle and can be firm when needed, with encouragement to "getting moving" when able or getting up for doctor visits, etc. My clients have so far all reacted well to me and my stable temperament. I am a go-getter. I move from when I wake up to soon before bed. I take initiative without overstepping my boundaries. I sing and feel music is a big help with depression. I am sensitive to the needs of patient or family who may be near. I could get another "job," but it would not be as fulfilling and there is a real need for good caregivers. Ms. Walsingham thought I should go into my own business. This was a huge compliment coming from this dear former businesswoman. Thank you for considering me for late afternoons or overnights. I moved to Ohio to help my elderly parents in case they were to need me.

I'm naturally dependable, compassionate, and trustworthy. I enjoy working with people and most enjoy jobs where you have one-on-one interaction with people. I feel that when you are older, you'd want someone like yourself there to help you if you need help & also I like doing work that has the potential to make a difference in someone's life.
