My name is Linda. I have 2 grown children, a cat and a dog. My background is 20 + years of working in Social Work to help people succeed and live their best lives. I have been a caregiver for the past 10 years until the couple recently passed. Basically, I Love people!!! I am an optimist and keep a positive attitude. I love to help people. I have many achievements on a professional level but feel my biggest achievement is raising 2 well adjusted children with huge hearts. They are kind and would help anybody. I love animals and plants. I grow herbs, vegetables, and lots of flowers. Additionally, my house is full of houseplants. Additionally, I am a music lover and enjoy many types of music. My family enjoys playing all types of board games and cards. Additionally, we enjoy nature, these beautiful mountains we live in, the beach, and traveling to explore new places. Photography and arts and crafts are some of my hobbies.

I've had an interesting life.. grew up on gulf coast of Florida in Destin and have since lived in many exciting places... California, France, London... Hi my name is Tracy, I'm a Mama of 2 and Nana of four. I became a caregiver many years ago and actually found out that this type of work was perfect for me and since then I have worked in nursing home, retirement home and took care of many, many clients in their homes. I am suitable for this type of work because I am a people person, especially the elderly, It makes my day to go in a home and at least get one smile out of a client but thru e to get laughs and many smile out of them. I go into a home and that is my number one priority is to make an everlasting impression by showing care and love from the bottom of my heart. I just recently spent a few years taking care of my father in law until he sadly passed away in November, And I'm not going to fib that was a challenge because eventually he had to have 24)7 care and we gave out home up and moved in with him, not to mention at the time was raising 3 small grandkids full time. But I would do it all over again without any hesitation. We had many wonderful memories with him that will last a lifetime.... And now being that I love to talk and do not like staying at home all day by myself I'm ready to help care for your lioved one. And now that I personally had to care for a family member I know first hand you need a break so let me help you with that.

I have extensive experience (15 years) supporting clients (male & female) with all elements of support (ambulatory, non-ambulatory, dementias and hospice). I'm dependable (never missed a day of work, including 24/7 shifts). I am in excellent health (never smoked, drank or had taken drugs), have a strong back, able to assist with lifting, current on all vaccines and TB test, drug tested, CPR/First Aide certified, no criminal record, clean DMV record and fully insured. I am a hard working dedicated certified Nursing Assistant. With over eight and a half years of experience I love what I do. Meeting new people and helping any way I can always make me feel better, and what keep me going at my job. I'm proud of how I let my clients keep thier sense of dignity I'm only here to help with whatever they need letting them have that sense of control that's important for them.

I was raised around seniors all my life visiting nursing homes my mom worked at and volunteering. After closing my personal care business I wanted to do work to make a difference. I became a caregiver and can truly say I love what I do. My clients are like family to me and it gives me great joy to help them with all of their needs. I go above and beyond at all times providing support, kindness and excellent care. In addition to my work as a caregiver I often volunteer at my mothers senior community helping her neighbors with whatever they may need. I consider them family and love to give back to the community.

I am greatful to have the opportunity to help assist, motivate and encourage others along their journey. Being good at listening helps me to learn a lot about the client. I pay close attention to details which enables me to be sensitive to the needs of the client and the family.

My initial interest in caregiving began when I started caring for my Grandmother who was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 1987. I saw the difference it made in her life to have someone available and willing to help her with the things that most of us are able to take care of ourselves. We take for granted every day that we are healthy and able to perform these tasks. It is a blessing to have someone who is available to help us with these things when we are no longer able to do them. In my time as a caregiver, I feel that I have seen and helped with everything from the most basic needs to the most complex. There isn't much that scares me. I am easily able to let difficulties with even the most challenging clients slide right off my back. I have thick skin and I am not easily offended. When I accepted the position with Visiting Angels back in 2011, not only was I able to supervise a crew of approximately 65 caregivers but I had the opportunity to occasionally assist with filling in for those caregivers in the event of an emergency. Since moving here to Florida in late 2015 I have not had the opportunity to work directly with clients since my work now is mostly computer and phone related supervisory duties, remotely from home. I miss the hands on care and the one on one relationships that are formed when caregiving. I am very interested in helping to supplement my income while making a difference in someone else's life. Now that we have moved back to the Greenville, SC area, I am ready to get started!
