I love being able to help people and take care of them. My grandmother was my best friend but she recently passed away and since then Iv felt drawn to being a caregiver and helping others and just giving them someone to talk to. I have 2 beautiful children who are my life and I want a job I'm able to be on their schedule also. I recently finished medical assistant school which was a big accomplishment for me to go back to school at my age. Over all I'm a very happy, loving person who loves to see other smile.

From assisted living, Home Healthcare, memory care (dementia and Alzheimer's), and nursing home. I'm not CNA certified but I pretty much can do everything a CNA does. My goal is to evenually get CNA certified and get a carrer in the medical field. As a child I always had a passion for helping others anyway I could. As I got older I began working with the elderly! I absolutely love helping people, for me it's that look on their face when you help them do something they've been trying to do but just couldn't quite get. Everybody at some point needs help with something no matter how big or small that task is and when that time comes you need someone you can count on!

Being a caregiver gives me the opportunity of meeting and interacting with new amazing people. I love the joy of assisting the individuals achieve their daily activities and goals. My greatest achievement is my family. being a mom to my baby girl and caring for my younger siblings.

I have been taking care of two elderly women going on three years now. One of which has dementia. These women have been together for almost 50 years and are both retired teachers and coaches. They do not have any children and have never been married. I met them and learned very quickly that they needed help with basic things. I have green to love and care deeply for them. I could never allow them to go into a nursing home I don't know if I wasn't here taking care of them that's where they would end up. They've lived a good life and they still have a long life to live ahead of them. I know I take care of them to my best ability. They are like family and they are involved in every holiday, event, vacations, that my family and I do.
