I was raised up caring for people beginning in my own family. At the nudging of my mother, I became an LVN in 1985. After the passing of my father, I neglected to keep my LVN license current but remained in the field of caring. I enjoy helping others accomplish their day as well as family members observing positive change in a homebound loved one. I have a long history in caring which include but not limited to, psych care, dementia, hearing and vision impairment, physical disabilities and so on. I take my work seriously and respect individuals for who they are as well as what they may be going through.

I understand the needs of seniors, their individual care and respect their need for preservation of ' self-respect & identity. I have 20+ years in diversified care needs for seniors. I took care of my own mother the last 10 years of her life with heart, stroke an finally cancer Health issues. I went back to college to pursue Health ENT & medical administrative needs. But my expertise @ demeanor lended itself into the world of caring for seniors. I began a 501c non-profit foundation to grant the final wishes of seniors with less than a year to live with my mother"s inheritance to me. It has granted neatly 250 final wishes @ is reun by a 'Board of Director's' out of Antioch, CA. It is called 'An Elderly Wish Foundation.' I am widowed 2 years now @ spend my time independently employed to care for seniors. I am in excellent health @ do gym work-outs regularly. I like to 'meet' my clients before committing to their care. It is important for our relationship to be compatible, so I am 'clear' on their individual needs. I only want to work part time for one long term client...and would relocate my apartment closer to their city if the match was mutual. I am a strong Christian woman and I walk daily ' in Gods Word'

I have worked for Carelynx since July of last year. I am a widow and live alone. I worked customer service for over 20 years for local manufacturing company's. I took care of a very ill husband who had strokes until he was bedridden and past away. I lost my 49 year old son whom I took care of from 2015-2020. He had In Stage Renal Failure, COPD, Congestive heart failure . I have spent a lot of my life making doctor appointments. Taking care of medication for my husband and son. I can take clients to do grocery shopping , Doctors appointments . I have dependable transportation. I can do meal prep but I cannot climb stairs. I am very dependable and enjoy helping people. I do not do housework . I have been fully vaccinated with all Covid Vaccines.

Patience when dealing with the elderly is a essential for me as a caregiver, to be patient I'm a very dependability when it comes to the well-being of my clients. I'm Attentiveness, Trustworthiness, Compassionate it takes a very special kind of person to be caregiver. I enjoying working with people and really enjoy taking care of people of all ages and circumstan, what excited me the most about being a caregiver is the opportunity is to help those with their needs. Being a caregiver is a huge personal accomplishment, I'm proud of my flexibility and my determination to be the best caregiver I can be and knowing that I'm appreciate for my help and kindness and and passionate I have for my job

I'm easy and outgoing and very positive. I like to help others in need. I like being a caregiver because some people need someone when they have no one else companionship is a good thing. I became a caregiver as I was working my way threw high school my father had copd and heart disease so I took care of him.

I am very passionate about this line of work. I'm hard working, I have a loving heart, I will always treat your family as I would want mine treated. I am able to keep a calm head in high stress situations which I feel is a necessary when working in this line of work. I've provided care to my own family which is what started my interest as my grandmother has always been my best friend. This line of work is what I feel I'm put on this earth to do and it makes me a feel fulfilled. I love being a caregiver and building bonds with the clients I provide care to. My proudest achievement is my daughter she is my whole world.

I am a Christian woman, single mom with 3 grown and one still in the nest and two grown that I donated my eggs for my cousin(by marriage) to be able to have kids. I have a huge heart and look forward to meeting and caring for new clients throughout my career. I've been certified as a Nursing assistant back in 1991. I have worked in nursing home, hospital and in home environments and choose private in home care over all. My patients are much happier and healthier at home. My name is Mandi McFarland. I'm 43 yrs old and I found a love for home healthcare 9 yrs ago when my grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's! My grandfather had passed 10 yrs prior and she lived alone. My parents asked that I take care of her from 8-4 daily while they worked and they could care for her at night. As she progressed I learned more and more about this horrible disease and thrived as I cared for her. She passed about a yr and a half later but I valued what I learned while caring for her. I waited a few months after she passed and found a job as a care giver. I have worked for a few companies over the last 9 yrs and several patients on an individual basis. Most of my patients have had dementia/Alzheimer's. I have had a blind patient and a few with heart diseases and kidney failure as well! Some have been very verbal and others were not verbal at all and I managed to establish a wonderful professional relationship with my patients and their families as well. I am a very personable person and can create a friend very easily. I love to take care of people and prepare their meals etc. one of my favorite things to do for my patients is prepare their meals and clean their homes. They deserve quality meals and a clean place to lay their head at night and spend their day! I believe that because my grandma was my first ever patient I learned right away how to treat any and all patients. Growing up you always learn that grandma deserves the upmost respect and with that being said she was cared for extremely well and I carried that on with me to all my patients! I have helped patients smile when they were feeling blue and have gotten patients to eat when they had no desire to do so. I am able to get patients to participate in activities with me most often and I love that I am able to do that.
