I grew up helping seniors I knew and have always loved doing so. I love being needed and feeling like I am making their life better, happier, healthier. I am an empathic soul and have compassion for people hurting or needing help. As I know, illness and aging is apart of life, if I can help to bring a caring, and comforting helping hand, I feel I'm doing something that is meaningfull.That brings me joy. I know GOD is using me in a beautiful way. I do my best to follow instructions given and make sure my clients needs are met. I stay focused on the job I'm doing. I'm adaptable . I am a certified/licensed caregiver with the State of California and have had a background check which is required for your protection by the State. I have taken continuing education classes. 5 This year that were CNA related training and passed them.

I have been a caregiver since 2009. I have a great passion for taking care of others and have spent most of my working career doing so. I have extensive experience in almost every area providing care for this population. I have worked with a variety of Alzheimer's and dementia clients as well as Parkinson's, MS, Diabetes, severe respiratory issues, Huntington's disease , cancer and those on hospice all which include many different special needs. I have a degree in Psychology from CSUS that I earned in 1983. If there's something new I'm not familiar with, I'm more than willing to learn. I love to cook and most likely can make almost anything up on request. I'm always willing to do house cleaning and laundry. I have been a caregiver for over 40 years .... I have experience with wound care and sterile procedures. I understand Supra pubic catheters ,changing them etc . I spent 12 years taking care of a woman who had M.S... my recent job i helped a family care for their mother until she passed away i was with them for over a year. throughout my career I have done jobs which require light housekeeping, taking care of animals, shopping and companionship. I can offer overnight shifts also. I have fantastic references and looking for a great job with a great employer..... whether it is full time or part time. I can also do live in if needed..i love all animals too. Owning my car i have dependable transportation and i'm very reliable which previous employers would tell you. Growing up, I was best friends with someone who has Autism. I was the only person she wanted to see when she was having a bad day. Her love for me sparked my interest in the Caregiving field. I am still in contact with her and her family to this day. I have worked in a day program for adults with IDD for a little over 2 years. This past year I worked in a residential facility for adults with IDD. Both opportunities were extremely rewarding and allowed me to gain more experience in this field.
