I enjoy putting smiles on peoples faces, helping others, being kind, patient, loving and understanding the needs of others. I became a companion caregiver because it blesses me to help senior citizens during a very extra special stage in their lives. I am certified in First aid and CPR. I became a caregiver for a client who attended a day program for the mentally disabled as a temporary position to help while her normal worker was out on maternity leave. The client had many behaviors and refusals but she quickly turned all of that around and became very happy with me working with her. I ended up being offered the position full time and have continued to do that for a few years. I love making people happy and I am very family oriented and quickly accept you as one of my own which ensures the people I work with feel truly cared for. My husband is an officer of kern county and we have two children at the ages of 2 and 4. I love me current job however I work 40 hr/week and I am just missing my family and would like to cut back and work less to make time for my family. I would love to continue to be a caregiver for someone who needs me.

I have been a personal caregiver for the elderly for over a year. I help with all the daily activities that have to been done to live at home alone safely but my favorite part of the job is making sure the loneliness that comes with age is relived and this has been know to improve the quality and length of a persons life. I do light housekeeping yard work and meal preparation. I help with making sure the banking is done and also internet research to help look for lowing cost and programs missed. I help plan social activities, make and drive to doctors appointments medicine management and shopping.
