My name is Charlotte Findley I'm 55 yrs old. I worked many years in health care. My aunt, who was Director of Nursing at a Care Center took me to work with her when I was 12 yrs old. I fell in love with the company of older people. The stories and wisdom I would crave from then on. I started volunteering at the center. My aunt said that I added love and happiness when I visited but really I who recieved an abundance of love and happiness from being with the residence. Those are days I am forever greatful for. I found my calling , Caregiving!!! I had a small in home daycare in my early 20s. (back when i could keep up with several whipper snappers -those were the days lol) I have worked as a CNA in Care Centers. I also worked as a Home Health Aide (HHA) and as a Companion/Homemaker for folks in their homes. I worked as a Residential Assistance Tech (RAT) in group home settings, assisting those with intellectual different-abilities live as independently as possible. Though I didn't make a fortune monaterly I certainly feel very rich with many wonderful memories and friendships Ive gained along the way. I haven't worked for quite sometime . I helped cared for both my grandfather's who had Alzheimer's . I cared for my little sister (23 yrs younger then I ) who was born with special needs and required total care. She was called home March 2014. I cared for my dad who had esophalgial & brain cancer. He peacefully transitioned, as he refered to it, at my home in Feb 2015. I help my mom care for my 2nd dad (step dad) who had heart problems until he too was called home Jan 2018. Since then I've been caring for myself and my home. May of 2021 my grandson Oliver Thomas was born. What a joy grandparenthood is!! I am ready to get back to working outside the home again and am looking forward to meeting new people, learning new things, hearing new stories /personal histories and helping folks stay safely in their homes and as independant as possible.

What makes me a great care giver is that I am attentive and I respond to situations in a timely manner. The thought of helping people who can't help them self attracted me mostly to becoming a caregiver. I enjoy it mostly because I am able to meet new people and share different experiences with them. An achievement I am proud of is getting my SafeServe Certification.

Hello, My name is Precious Yakubu I am a mother of three, and also currently a Student at Full Sail University set to Graduate September of 2022. Growing up, I enjoyed helping around house, doing little chores like talking the trash out, washing the dishes, warm food up, and also helping my mom with baby sitting my younger siblings. As soon as I was able to work, at the age of 14 in Ireland, I got a summer job, helping a lady in her 90s with her laundry, I felt proud of myself, this lead to me getting a community award. When I moved to America at the age of 17, I got my CNA and , every since then I have worked in the medical field which I love and enjoy so much. Taking care, and helping a person in need with there daily activities has been a trait I enjoy doing, I treat others the way I would love to be treated.

Over the years I have supported my husband in his various church ministries. Supporting him and raising our 5 children did not allow me to have a paying job, but it has given me many opportunities to help people in all different situations. I have worked with many disabled and elderly folk. We cared for an elderly man in our home for a short time and I was with him at his death. I have helped in homes with cleaning, cooking, physical hygiene, shopping, laundry, and companionship as well as comforting the dying. I was involved with the care of my own father until his passing two years ago. My mother may soon need my care as well. Years ago, I was trained as a CNA; however, this was before the days of certification. I worked for a couple years in a nursing home and then later in a home for the developmentally disabled. It was very rewarding work, and I was able to use the experience over the years to help and encourage people in our own churches. My husband is currently unemployed, but I still have a desire to find work that would allow me to help people in personal ways. At present I am on a waiting list to take the training to become a certified nursing assistant. I am pleasant, patient, compassionate, empathetic, hard working and honest. I have great respect for the wisdom and experience of the elderly. I try to help them have as much independence and dignity as possible. I enjoy cooking, crafting, sewing and 14 grandchildren!

I have always wanted to be in nursing ever since I seen my mother be a CNA,hhc,emt and a firefighter at the age of 8.helping people is my passion in life,i enjoy doing home Health care since I was 17.it is my passion in life.i enjoy helping others that can no longer do everyday tasks like they have used to do.i take care of people like they are my own family.i have even widened my nursing career getting my dementia and Alzheimer's care certificate.very proud of what I do.
