I have passion for this job because,my sister got blind and she became disabled for the rest of her life.Most clients were not born disabled but due to some issues along their lives,made them be disabled.I enjoy working with these clients as my family,because they need to be treated with love ,respect and dignity and let them know that,they are important in society too.I am available day time shift too,in case you guys need a day time staff also,my pay is negotiable also. Approximately 15 years ago, I became my mother's Caregiver after she came home from Rehab for a major stroke. After working in a Family Medical office for a couple years, I began my Caregiver career. In the past 10+ years, I have worked as a Home Health Aide and CNA, providing many services to families and their loved ones, including (but not limited to) Alzheimers, Dementia, Quadriplegic, and Hospice Care. Services provided include companionship, transportation, meal prep, feeding, light housekeeping, pericare, input/output, taking and recording vitals, catheter care, colostomy care, medication reminders, assistance with bathing, showers, dressing, transfers, wound care maintenance, and oxygen maintenance. My special focus has been with Alzheimer's and Dementia care. I am a CNA and certified in CPR and First Aid, and continue to work on completing additional medical courses and pursue avenues to help strengthen me as a Professional Caregiver. I also maintain current Individual Professional Liability Insurance. Your loved ones peace of mind, comfort and health is my priority.

I enjoy helping people I have empathy my first experience was with my father who passed away with cancer from the time he was diagnosed he only lived seven months but I learned alot and very quickly with no experience @ the age of twenty years old I also had my brothers I had cooking cleaning bathing him in bed . Before my father my mother fell and broke her lower leg both bones she had a cast on all the way up her whole leg I was only 13 I had to learn how to change sheets on a bed while she was still in it I had to learned how to help get her up and ger get in a wheel chair I had to bathe her in bed & I also had to learn how to help her use a bed pan I did all the cooking and cleaning taking care of my brothers& also go to school also my middle child was born with autism so I feel like I can understand and know how to handle any situation with ant person I helped my son be independent enough he lives and thrives on his own to this very day that was my greatest achievement . I enjoy people but I most enjoyment is being able to help make each day in a persons life much easier

I am a gentle and quiet person, attentive listener, tender hearted, compassionate and deeply caring, professional woman. I assist and provide care for individuals who have been diagnosed with dementia, alhzlmers, bed bound, limited mobility, and disabilities of various kinds. Each and every person I provide care for, I actually care about them and their wellbeing. I have years of experience of attend to people's needs and providing care for them as a former chaplain intern and resident at the University of Kentucky, The United Methodist Children's Home and my local community. My role as a chaplain was mainly to offer emotional support and spiritual care for patients, families, doctors and nurses at a rapid pace. A desire in me began to grow where I wanted to have more time to get to know the clients more and spend more time with them. I enjoy the role of a care giver because I am able to take time to learn about people's needs and attend to them. My heart is filled with joy as a caregiver because I have the time and space to listen to each individual's story, learn about their physical and mental health and assist them with their needs. My vision for being a caregiver is to provide care for each person in such a way that they feel honoured, accepted, noticed, valuable and encouraged in their independence. I am most proud of myself for providing care for infants, the elderly, to those on the day they took their last breath, those without homes or with homes, citizens of the United States and internationals, people of differing faiths or no faith, those with minor health concerns to those in critical conditions, those who struggle with mental health diagnoses to those who do not and a variety of other categories within the past 5 years of my life. I don't take any of those opportunities lightly and am excited about the opportunity learn new care plans and provide care that meets each and every clients need(s).

I worked in healthcare as a CNA for 12 years. I worked mainly with the elderly during that time. I have experience working with people who have dementia and Alzheimer's. I am very patient, kind and understanding which is needed when working with the elderly.

What makes me a good caregiver is empathy and a caring heart. What attracted me to caregiving was a need for a compassionate caregiver for a family member of my own and what a difference it made in a difficult situation. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is helping people/ families it connects me to others and their gratitude is so rewarding it lets me know I'm doing the right thing. My personal achievement that I am proud of is being a loving mother and wife to my family. I am patient, kind, dependable, and trustworthy.

Patient, compassionate, and understanding are all words to describe my work ethic. I've had quite a bit of experience with many different patient types, and I believe it's my calling.
