I have always felt a calling and a passion for caregiving. I have over 15 years of experience providing compassionate care in Skilled and private homecare settings. I am a single mother and student at UMGC. Currently working towards a bachelor's degree in Gerontology and Aging Services and a minor in Psychology, and proudly graduating in December of 2024! From there, I plan to work towards a master's degree in Occupational Therapy. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is it helps me greatly and gives me the courage to take care of my son who is autistic. I'm a patient and compassionate person, I love to be around elderly. They are very smart and full of wisdom. I feel like I'm the lucky one to be with them and help them through this step of life. Even when they rejected me, I never took it personal and tried to understand them. I have been taking care of my mother in law for 6 years and I'm happy and proud to say that caregiving is a big personal accomplishment, and I'm proud of my resourcefulness, flexibility and determination.
