I am 56, married with 2 children, my daughter graduated college this year and my son is a sophomore in college. Although my work history has been in education and as a business owner, I really enjoy caring for others and now have the time available with our business and family to do so. I've been told I'm a people person, I make people feel comfortable and I get along very well with a wide variety of people. I have volunteered on a crisis hotline, at soup kitchens, food banks and taking people in need to appointments or offering companionship. My mother was diagnosed with early onset dementia and eventually Alzheimers in 2014. She stayed with us for awhile, then we were able to find a lovely care facility where she was very happy and loved. She passed away in November 2019 and I am so thankful for the time I got to spend with her, putting her at ease and making her laugh. I plan to still visit her friends where she was living, but its 45 minutes away so it's a not practical place me to work. I have enjoyed working with multiple clients for the past several years, and have been referred to other clients several times.
