Hello my name is Desiree, I go by Nikki. I am 34 years old and the mother of two wonderful children. I am a Cub Scouts Den Leader and my mother is the Cubmaster for B.S.A. Pack 403. I am 3 courses shy of my Bachelor's of science in business. I have successfully completed the undergraduate general management certification. I have over 13 years off management experience in the fast food world. I left fast food and earned my 3 years of healthcare experience as a residential care partner and then a dietary nutritional cook. I also have 4 years of experience in retail establishment. I am very outgoing and a social butterfly. I enjoy helping others. I have experience caring for patients diagnosed with Alzheimer's, dementia, diabetes, and I understand the care necessary to help my clients live life as successful as possible. I am a very patient and attentive person. The most rewarding and precious thing we all have is our time and devotion. My goal as a caregiver is to empower as well as, revive a sense of personal independence. Building self esteem and administering a heavy dose of reassurance, are my strong points. Caregiving is the ultimate act of love. Caregiving changed perspective on life! My mother took care of my grate grandmother when I was little. She would let me help and it ment the world to me making them smile! My giving nature and my nurturing desire to help those in need is how I knew caregiving was for me. My greatest achievements are the moments I get. I have learned while my patient say they couldn't get through this without me, I am the one who gets the biggest gift of all! All my patients have enriched my life in many ways!

Caregiving is my calling and I absolutely love caring and taking care of other. I've always been the caretaker type with even people and friends. I love being a caregiver, I first became a CNA in the late 70's and from their I started my journey of taking care of people old and young. This kind of work is not for everyone, it takes a loving. Caring, person to do do this kind of work. A God given talent to take care of people. You have to have patience. Understanding, caring, self discipline, compassion and most of all love.
