About me. My name isJeanette Lopez I'm 44- years old . I was born and NY raised in Puerto Rico . I would describe myself as outgoing , friendly, and talkative. I thrive when surrounded by other people, and find it easy to connect with anyone I meet. Always looking for bridges , not fences. I would also say that I have a sense of humor, and people generally enjoy my company. I think what describes me the best is the "creative mind " because I always enjoy to come up with ideas, think outside the box, or even challenge the status quo. Now it doesn't mean that I find it hard to oblige the rules . I do that. But I don not hesitate twice to share my feed back and suggest improvements. I'm always willing to try new hobbies, learn new skills. I would also describe myself as a very calm and balanced person. Always try to see the brighter side of things. I am a good companion for the talk about virtually any topic. I also love traveling and exploring new places. I love cats, dogs and most all animals. I believe in lifelong learning and personal growth. I developed an interest in caregiving at a very young age. During my teenage years. I I help my mother with my grandparents . I knew since then I loved helping caring for other. I always enjoyed playing and combing my dolls hair, feeding and play cooking for them. I always look after the house keeping home cleaned and organized. I have been a Certified Home Health Aide for 20 years . I like to look at my client as if I am caring for my own Loved one is what helps me become a better caregiver. What attracted me to become a caregiver is that I was looking after my grandma and I was the only one around and helping, while other family was out living life when there own mom needed them the most. So after she passed i looked into being a caregiver and have been doing my job every since. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is that they tell a lot of amazing story's, and you can pick up a lot of wisdom from them as well. I am compassionate, positive, hardworking, reliable and honest. These are the qualities that make me an excellent Caregiver/Companion. My experience comes from assisting my mother care for my father when he was diagnosed with multiple types of cancer. My next endeavor came years later when I became my mother's sole caregiver. She suffered from dementia. After her passing, I decided to make caregiving my new career. In my first position in my new career I was a Live In 24/7 Caregiver for a lovely lady with dementia, I was with her for 2 1/2 years until her passing.
