I am deaf with cochlear implant, uses ASL (American Sign Language) and English. I am a college student attending HCC, I went to WSU Tech for 3 1/2 years and just now recently transferred to HCC. and I have a part time job where I work at is my favorite place to work and loving it everyday. I am very determined, honesty, team player, compassion, caring and loving the people I take care. I am friendly and always willing to cooperate with anything and are willing to work things out if it gets in the way. I am willing to work with the schedule way around it. I am a CNA and CMA at my job for almost 7 months now and I am certified CNA and CMA for a year now. I do have 3 certification is CNA, CMA, and Phlebotomist Tech. I am working on getting HHA certification then two degrees of Nursing; LPN and RN. Being a caregiver is my passion because I love taking care of people and give them the best care that they do deserve it! I enjoy go over and see them, checking in, help with anything they needed! I would DO ANYTHING to put a beautiful smile on their face. I love to cheer them up and make sure they are having a good day with a big smile on the face! My personal achievement I am proud of is that I have overcome ALOT of things in my life right now also with a bad childhood growing up but still fought through it! I am first high school graduate and first attending in college. I am a honor roll student throughout the years of high school and college. I have 3 certifications in medical field! My dream is to own a nursing home for Deaf & Hard of Hearing residents with D/HH workers that are able to uses sign language and make the environment comfortable and easier for each other!

I have always enjoyed helping people out no matter what the cause may be. What attracts me to caregiving is I am a caregiver by nature I also take care of my mother and her mental and medical disability. I enjoy loving on people and lifting others spirit. A personal achievement I am proud of is coming out of a life of addiction to being spirit filled clean sober and productive member of society. We all fall short of the glory of God. I would say I am extremely Compassionate. I have deep empathy for others. I have a Strong love to help others but i know my limitations. I love helping people in need, regardless of how little or big the issue. I have been a Caregiver since the age of 10 when I started babysitting. I am patient, caring, a good listener, compassionate and just enjoy helping people live an easier life. I enjoy the company of the senior generation, I think they deserve to live a happy, healthy, easier life as they get older, they have earned that privilege and I will do whatever it takes for them to live independently for as long as they are able. It's not about the money in this profession, it's about caring, compassion and helping those in need.

Hello, I am a full time student majoring in Nursing, and I have always had a passion for working with elderly patients! I have worked with caregiving agencies and in home private families as well. I am very patient, social and loving helping people. What attracted me to caregiving is seeing that if one is given a little bit MORE attention that they can sometimes display a change of behavior .

I believe that people are a gift, I have an ability to bring the best out in people. I am able to listen and be able to tell my own stories to help people relate to me. I wanted to become a caregiver because my grandmother was in a nursing home and I saw how badly most people treated her and I wanted to be a person that others could count on. The biggest thing I enjoy about caregiving is the stories I learn, I love hearing about others lives and that even with the bad they still turned out good. My biggest achievement has to be, being a CNA at 16, and changing the lives of many people in doing so
