I am a mother of 4 so you can say patience and dealing with the pressures of chaotic environments comes easy for me. I think of my client/individual as family when they are put under my care, greeting them with a smile and ready to help attitude.!

I have been doing Home Health Care for 20+ years. I have taken care of a wide variety of clients right down to family. I feel that since I was taken care of by the state as a child, my way of giving back is to take care of my loved ones. I enjoy seeing the smile on my client's faces when I walk through their door. I am currently going to school as Occupational Therapy Assistant and am looking forward to applying it to great use with clients in the future.

I genuinely love people, I don't care about the color of your skin, I just see people. I have been taking care of people in my family all of my life, I enjoy doing for others and seeing the smile on their faces. Putting a smile on someone's face who wouldn't usually smile. I nursed my mom back to health after she had her leg amputated from complications of Diabetes, I helped her get her life back by working with her every day until she got strong enough to use her prosthetic leg on her own, now I cannot slow her down.

Elderly sitting isn't just a job or career. It's being a care giver, but also being a companion. Being happy and having someone listen to and talk with you is something everyone needs. Family's can't always be there full time, stay overnight at patient's homes or around the clock in a hospital to look out for and assist a love one.

At the age of 18 I was introduced to caregiving. I am now 31 years of age and have continued my career path as a caregiver. I originally became a caregiver so that I could go in and care for my elderly disabled cousin when she first moved to my area, however I was never placed with her, but I was hired and placed with other clients and it was almost like second nature to me, I absolutely loved it so that's when I decided to take the caregiving career path. So far it has been a success and I've learned so much and am now able to care for many different types of cases with ease. My skills go beyond caregiving though, I also have worked in an emergency room as an emergency room technician which allowed me to gain more knowledge within the medical part of care. while I was working there, I acquired certifications in BLS/First Aid/AED use, EKG technician, Drug screening and breath alcohol testing, as well as picked up many skills in behavior health, orthopedics, heart care, stroke care, wound care, and so much more. My favorite thing about caregiving is knowing that I am there for those who were there for my generation and knowing that they are in great hands is just a couple of my favorite things about caregiving. Most of all I'd have to say, I absolutely love spending time with my clients and giving them the companionship that they need and deserve so that they do not have to worry about being lonely. The saying is true that people can die from loneliness and its heartbreaking knowing how many people do have to live without anybody in their lives. If I could be there for them all I would. I am always so happy to be in their presence knowing I'm making a difference in that person's life. It is a sense of fulfillment to me as if I am doing exactly what I was destined to do.

Hello, My naame is Debra Faucett, I love working with people and helping them best I can. I have been doing caregiving work for 10+ yrs. I can even work a few nights a week. I Have 2 kids 12 and 10 yrs old my 10 yr okd is autistic.

I am outgoing and friendly with over 25 years experience in customer service and 10 plus years in case management, mental health and substance abuse treatment. I attended to my mother and father while they were ill and under Hospice care. It gives me a great deal of satisfaction to know that I am able to provide comfort, support, and positive reinforcement to my clients. NOTE: Only relevant jobs are listed. I think that the best traits I carry as a caregiver, is that I am patient, and sympathetic as well. I truly care for each and every person I am able to care for. I've always had a passion for the Senior Community, I've always loved their wisdom and looked up to it. Once I got older, I wanted to learn more, and give back to them. The one thing I find most rewarding, and that I enjoy most about being a caregiver, is that I get to help somebody everyday. Whether it's something small, or large. One of my personal achievements that I am proud of is when I was 15 years old, I went to a local small college to go through their CNA program, and while doing so I worked my clinical hours at the local nursing home. There I was exposed to a vast majority of diverse needs, rapidly, and it helped me grow and learn to love this career even more so.

I have a legallly blind brother I take care of and have for over 20years. Both of my grandparents had cancer and dementia I also helped take care of them before they passed: I have done severally home health jobs I'm a people person and love to help do any and everything.
