Am a 27 year old female care giver. I became a caregiver because I believe in helping and making someone's day better. My achievement in this job has been being able to help clients and achieve their health goals like recovery. Hi! My name is courtney Lemire and I have been in health care for over 7 years. I started out in an assisted living but then grew to work as a home health aide and patient care technician at Melrose wakefield hospital. I love meeting new people and have a bubbly personality.

My first job, at age 10, was summer companion to my maternal grandmother. Working for the family matriarch required abundant labor (my grandmother was elderly), but the daily chores gave rise to an unexpected pleasure; I liked being responsible. For 12 lovely summers, I cleared the acorns from her croquet court, hiked to the store to buy her groceries, and delivered her (she did not drive) by rowboat to tea at the homes of neighbors. Within the formality of her cottage, I learned to be a responsible member of a household. And whether I felt like it or not, I learned to be good company. Still under my grandmother's spell, I have worked as a lady's companion and as a gentleman's secretary for more than 20 years. Although I am no longer gathering acorns, I accompany my employers on their travels, keep them company at cultural events, edit their memoirs, and teach them them how to draw and paint. I have found these employments to be congenial and remunerative. They give me great pleasure.

Growing up I was an only child then I lost both of my parents. My father passed away and my mother abandoned me. I am strong willed and can accomplish anything that is presented to me. I love that I can be able to take care of others and showing them the love and help they need since I didn't get that growing up. Caregiving is the first step then hope I can be able to be a nurse or doctor one day so I can use my skills and talents where needed.

I do this job because of my passion I love interacting with people taking care of people and having conversation with people who just can't do anything for the self in that way I feel I am blessed to be able to help someone who is not able to do something for yourself it's not all about the money it's the passion and love that I have for this job

Hi am Esther Namuli , taking care of my grand parents , my parents opened my eyes so much that I wanted to take the care to another level by showing love and companionship to other families that needed me , so I went back to school and training about care giving , I love taking care of the people with Parkinson's , dementia, Alzheimer's, stroke, multiple across , and so many others if given a chance by ambulating, preparing meals, light housekeeping, transporting etc
