I have nearly 10 years experiencing working at the Emergency Children's Shelter/Shore Youth Center. in Tom's River. Since 2006 I have been working at a MICA residential group home for men. I have worked these jobs because i wanted to make a difference in the lives of at risk youth, in many ways it's like a spiritual calling. Helping families during touch and challenging times has rarely been a problem for me in nearly 30 years, i look forward to going to work. Numerous times i worked 1 to 1 as a mentor providing wraparound services to youth and families in the community. As an former athlete i understand the true meaning of teamwork. In my spare time i write poetry translating the art of of professional artist as well as for my future poetry book. My personal goal is to establish my own outreach program in which i can provide services to the homeless population mobily , i assisted as a volunteer at Tent City in Lakewood. I am trained in basic First Aide/CPR, medication monitoring, safety, fire equipment , conflict resolution and many ongoing trainings annually.
