I been a CNA for 5 years I have worked in a bunch skilled and none skilled nursing homes. Well I love to help people and my grandma was in and out of nursing homes. So I got to go and I wanted to make a difference in there life's. I enjoy putting a smile on there face just because they in a nursing home don't mean they can't live a little and have fun . Personal achievement well got my CNA license did a whole year of it and I past with straight A's and been a CNA for 5 years . I have been providing companionship, personal care, light housekeeping, laundry and errands off and on for 2 years private and as an employee with a company. I have a total of 7 years overall experience. I am experienced in caring for early-late onset Alzheimer's as well as those who do not suffer from this disease. Experience with those who can become easily agitated even violent. Worked in a day center for 20 months mainly with late stage dementia and also with special needs young adults where I was specially trained to care for dementia in a person centered care. This means the person is treated as an individual and not as an illness. I really love what I do and find I prefer to work on my own because my style is treating everyone with respect regardless of their abilities and making sure all their needs are met are really important to me. I am very compassionate about the people I care for and love what I do. I am not certified at this time but can still be looked up on the registry.
