With a Psychology degree, I am able to communicate effectively with both the client as well as the client's family members. I offer compassion and understanding to each individual's family. I have a strong personality and am able to encourage my clients to allow me to help them with the services that are best for them even when they are reluctant. I am able to help them maintain their dignity and independence while assisting them with their every day tasks. I became a caregiver in 2016 when my company lost it's grants. I evaluated what other avenues were available to me to share my years of counseling experiences. I decided that as a home health care aid, I could help both the client themselves and their families. I enjoy knowing that I have helped a number of people remain in their own homes with dignity and respect.

I have worked in healthcare for over 20 years and enjoy caring for others and improving their quality of life. I am a Respiratory Therapist and have an Associates degree as a Medical Office Assistant. I also am a volunteer time with my local Volunteer Fire Department as the President, Captain of the K9 Search and Rescue Team as well as a K9 Handler and an EMT. I became interested in being a caregiver when I was a teenager when I took care of my Grandmother and saw the challenges she endured in her life as she aged. I also have a diploma in Canine Obedience trainer and Veterinary Assistance. I feel my greatest achievement is nationally certifying 2 different K9s at 3 levels of trailing to help locate lost and missing people.

I am a very outgoing, compassionate who enjoys assisting the elderly in their daily lives. My favorite part is all the stories and life experiences you hear/get to be apart of when you're an aide.

My #1 goal in life to help other people, and to make their lives better & easier. Because of this goal, i'm following my dreams to continue my education to become the best Occupational Therapist that i can. At the nursing home i currently work at, its easy for me to build relationships with the residents and try to make their day worth what they pay for. Personally, i'm the youngest employee at my job, and was proud to get awarded "employee of the summer 2018".

My name is Jeseica, I became a personal caregiver when my great grandmother ended up fighting the the battle with cancer. I started taking care of her from 2012 until 2014 when she lost the battle and passed. Then my grandmother ended up taking a turn for the worse, and I took care of her from 2014 until 2016 when she passed away. I'm a very loving, and caring person. I take pride in my job, and love caring for people! I have years of experience with taking care of the elder. I take care of my great grandfather off and on now. Help him with the things he can't do. I love to smile and interact with other kinds of people. I love being a care giver, I have always wanted to help people since I was a little girl growing up. I just want to see people happy and smile. I enjoy the bond the client and I create together. My attendance, I don't call off ever.

I have desired to help others for a very long time. I plan on attending Clarion University for Nursing in the near future.

I became a caregiver because I love to take care of other people. The best feeling in the world is knowing that you made a difference in someone's life. I enjoy a smile on someone face knowing that I was able to make their day even 1% better.

I think patience and compassion are essential traits needed for working this type of job. This is a job that might have some challenging situations along the way, and a good attitude goes a long way. Ive always had a giving personality and I like helping people. My grandmother had raised my brother and I since we were toddlers. As Ive gotten older and she has as well, Ive been giving back and helping her along the way. I would say that really kickstarted my compassion and empathy for the elderly. In my opinion, this is one of the most rewarding jobs one can have. Just knowing you are helping someone who cant help themselves, and seeing how grateful they are for it, makes it all worth it.
