Shortly after finishing medical assistant certification, my mother suffered a debilitating stroke. I realized how difficult it is to find quality, compassionate care for your love ones. I want to make it my mission to utilize my skills and experience to provide quality, loving, compassionate in-home care.

I love being a caregiver and taking care of our elders, the people who have given so much to this world. Taking care of people is something you can be proud of. I, Shonita Badillo became a caregiver because I love working with the elderly and, sick. Caregiving has always been my passion because, when I was a teenager I cared for my grandmother. I enjoy being a caregiver because, it gives me joy to see a smile on my clients face, and, also I feel I can bring a lot to their life such as understanding patience and, compassion. I feel I have achieved experience over the last 15 years. As I continue to work as a caregiver I feel more confident that I know my job and, that I can relate to my clients better. I have 15 years of experience as a certified nursing assistant. I have worked in a hospitals nursing homes and, private homes. My future plans is to futher my nursing experience. I hope to find a nice family to work for because I feel I have a lot to bring to a patients life. My availability is working days part time or fulltime.

Being a caregiver has to come from your heart, bonding with the resident definitely helps, I have a very fun personality, goofy ,I love doing puzzles always a nice activity to enjoy with the resident.

I am 58 years old. I have been a CNA for more than twenty years. I love my job as a caregiver. I became a caregiver when I was 16 years old working in A nursing home. I like being able to help others. It is rewarding and satisfying to learn about others and know that in your work you can make a Positive difference in your clients life. I Wanted to improve my knowledge of health care. So I took a Medical Assistant class at MedVance Institute and Graduated with a 4.0 grade average. I lost my Husband in 1994, My sons were teenagers, I raised two wonderful sons while working as a private duty care giver.
